I teach Contact Improvisation, improvisation for performance, and somatic-based contemporary dance rooted in release techniques.

 

My classes integrate neurophysiology, somatics, and/or phrasework as entry points into developing sensitivity to weight, spatiality, fascial support, and relationality.

 

We explore these areas through solo practices, guided improvisation, structured compositional scores and, sometimes, set material.

I am interested in how movers make choices in real time. How attention, perception, and relationship create physical form and shape emergent story-ness. I support dancers in building well-resourced, responsive bodies and minds while cultivating clarity in movement- decision-making.
